Learning Activities
A. Introduction 30 mins. Good day! The lesson in this module is about Knowing Oneself. After going
Panimula through this module, you are expected to:
a. assess yourself by identifying values you uphold
b. prepare a road map to understand self-development
c. share your unique characteristics, habits and experiences.

Start knowing yourself better. Work with a partner (anyone who is available to
give you some assistance at home) and assess how well you know yourself by
listing down your values, characteristics and/or traits using the Four Quadrants of
Oneself. Be guided by the given instructions on page 2. Write your answer on a
separate sheet.

B. Development 60 mins. Read carefully the discussion on self-development, self-concept, self-esteem and
Pagpapaunlad self-efficacy on your module, pages 3-5 and 14-16. This lesson can also be viewed
at DepEd TV through this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=bs0txLU2DUs.

Accomplish the Sharing Is Caring Activity on page 17. All you need to do is to ask
your family members how well they know you by letting each member write what
they think your strengths and weaknesses are, as well as, what they think that
makes you angry and happy. You may ask at least 2-3 family members. After the
given time, look for the common answers and write an essay on what did you find
about the responses of your family members and compare your own knowledge
about your characteristics and personal preferences.

C. Engagement 60 mins. Analyze and briefly discuss your understanding about the following principles and
Pakikipagpalihan concepts of the famous philosophers (page 6). Do this on a separate paper.

Study the framework of Carl Roger’s Self-Concept theory on page 7. Analyze the
connections of the elements and explain it in a concise manner. Write your answer
on a separate sheet.

D. Assimilation 30 mins. Accomplish the Road Map Activity on pages 7-8. Follow the instructions given in
Paglalapat the module. Do this on a sheet of paper.
