ACCOUNTANCY WEEK CELEBRATION (AWC)

PICPA Batangas Chapter
July 17-23, 2022

Batangas Chapter kick-off the PICPA 2022 Accountancy Week Celebration by giving
thanks to Almighty God on July 17, 2022 at 9:00 in the morning at The Most Holy Trinity
Parish, Pallocan West, Batangas City. It was participated by twelve Officers and Advisers of
the Chapter. After the mass, the attendees enjoyed the brunch at the Ginazel’s Restaurant,
Batangas City with Director Juniel D. Sadiasa, Assistant Regional Director, COA Regional
Office No. IV-A. The Chapter also joined the Thanksgiving Mass of the PICPA National
Office.

On July 18, 2022, Atty. John Arvin B. Atie, President of PICPA Batangas Chapter
delivered Inspirational Message for Junior Philippine Institute of Accounants (JPIA) of
Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas during their Webinar with a theme “BSA Students’
Emotional Well-Being: Health Mind for Every JPIAn”.

On the third day of the AWC, members of the Chapter and colleagues from the
Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP) – Batangas
attended the Spotlight in Public Practice, face to face, on July 19, 2022 at Edsa Shangrila,
Manila while some members attended via Zoom application. Likewise, the Chapter President
pays Courtesy Call with Atty. Resurreccion C. Quieta, Regional Director and Mr. Juniel D.
Sadiasa, Assistant Regional Director, both of COA Regional Office No. IV-A.

On the fourth day of the AWC, the Chapter joined the Spotlight on Commerce and
Industry last July 20, 2022 via Zoom application. In addition, the Chapter President, together
with Ms. Elena L. Luarca, Supervising Auditor of Local Government Audit Sector-A,
Province of Batangas II and Mr. Jefril C. Tolentino, Audit Team Leader of City Government
of Lipa, both members of PICPA Batangas Chapter, paid another Courtesy Call with
Commission Proper of the Commission on Audit. They were able to meet and greet the new
Chairperson of COA, Hon. Jose Callanga Calida, Commissioner Roland C. Pondoc and
Commissioner Mario G. Lipana.

On July 21, 2022, the Chapter also participated in the Spotlight on Education and
Government via Zoom application. Likewise, some members also joined the Regulator’s
Forum and Annual Business Meeting on July 22, 2022 via Zoom application.

The final activity of the Chapter is the PICPAtanim (Mangrove Tree Planting) at
Brgy. Lumaniag, Lian, Batangas. The activity was supported by Chapter members from
League of Accountant in the Municipalities of Batangas (LAMB), particularly from Lian and
Nasugbu, Batangas. More so, the Chapter also participated in the Closing Ceremony of
Accountancy Week Celebration.
