To the teachers and staff of our beloved school, to my classmates and schoolmates, and to everyone

whose present here today, I would greet all of you a pleasant morning. I want to be honest with all of
you, I actually found it hard to find a topic that I can share with in this short speech of mine. I can't think
of a topic that will relate to our subject, oral communication. And as I think even further, I come up with
different idea, instead of thinking a topic that will relate to oral communication why not use
communication itself as a topic.

Communication is one of the greatest thing that ever exist in this world, it's the only way to relay a
message from one source to another. Although it exist in many form, communication still have a single
purpose and that's to send a message to other. Communication is one of the important tools that help
us to connect with people. Whether you are a student or a working professional, smooth
communication is something that will take you far ahead. The right communication can help you to solve
a number of issues and resolve problems as well, this is the reason that one should know how to
communicate well. The skills of communication need to be developed so that you are able to interact
with people share your thoughts and reach out to them.

We might want to ask ourselves, why is communication so necessary?

The answer to this question is pretty simple. Communication is necessary simple because it connects us
even though we're not connected physically. Let me set an example, I know that most of us here have a
relative that's not here with us. They're not here in this small island, however we still managed to talk to
them by means of communication through internet, or the most famous communication application
today, Messenger. I know that most of us use it and we use it to chat with our relatives that's not with
us today or far from here.

Moreover, communication is necessary because of this reasons. First, it helps us build relationship,
whether you are studying or working, communication can help you to build a relationship with the
people. If you are studying you communicate with classmates and teachers to make a relationship with
them. Secondly, it improve people's lives. There are a number of issues which can be solved through the
right and effective communication. And lastly, it helps us find the right solution. Through
communication, one can find solutions to even the critical problems. When we talk, we get ideas from
people that help us to solve the issues. This is only possible if you are able to put your thought in the
right place. This is where communication comes into play and you need to be right on target to fulfill the
purpose.
