The terrain had a steep slope and was cut by an irregular stone retaining wall. At
the bottom, near the entrance, there was a house in ruins. It would have been a
sacrifice to recover it and it was destined that the results would always remain
beyond the planned program.
The program implied that the house had to be two in one. One for the children on
the ground floor, the other for the parents upstairs. Two scales at the ends would
solve the natural connections.
The project began with the demolition of the pre-existing buildings. The ruins were
demolished, the stone walls were demolished, and with the stones the same wall
was redesigned, with openings to the outside. It was not difficult, because the dry
stone covered with moss was placed on a concrete wall. It was a thick mineral
"painting", which created an "ancient" atmosphere, as if it had always existed
there, in that place. This "naturalness" had to support a white concrete shell, with a
lot of iron and resting on slender metal pillars.

The construction, in the finishes, involved other materials: over the generous
thickness of the granite tangents run red slats of exotic wood; French aluminum
struts are suspended from the cover with steel cables. The effort needed to support
the load of the glass is entrusted to the counterarrow of the slab, well calculated by
engineering.
The house is the encounter between two apparent ways of building: one tends to
create a precarious balance between concrete, iron and glass, with a design at the
limit of thickness; the other, for the size of the stone (from 30 to 50 cm), remains
motionless leaning against the lime, in the hypocritical pose of "natural" things. As
in literature, architecture today also passes through here.
