I. Objectives

Give the sound of the letter (Ll, Yy) in the alphabet

III. STRATEGIES/ACTIVITIES
A. Preparatory Activities
1. Motivation
Puzzle Game
Group the pupils into 2 groups and give each group a puzzle to solve in 5 minutes.

Ask: From the puzzle that I gave, what have you formed?
B. Lesson Proper
1. Presentation of the Lesson
The teacher introduces the letters (Ll, Yy) and it sounds to the pupils.
Mystery Box (picture and real objects): The teacher let one pupil at a time get one object from the box
and show to the class.
2. Modelling
Teacher will say first the sound of letter (Ll,Yy) and then the name of each object/picture. The Pupils
follow after the teacher.
Say: This is the big letter (L, Y). (Teacher demonstrate how big letter (Ll, Yy) is written with
counting). Do this 3 times. Let the pupils do it by writing on air, desk and palm.
Say: This is small letter (l, y). (Teacher demonstrate how small letter (l, y) is written with counting).
Do this 3 times. Let the pupils do it by writing on air, desk and palm.
C. Post-Activity
1. Guided Practice
Let the pupils write the letter (Ll,Yy) on the board with correct stroke and produce its sound.
3. Independent Practice
4. Let the pupils trace and write the big and small letter (Ll, Yy) with the correct stroke.
IV. Evaluation
Encircle the Letter Ll and box the letter Yy.
