Media Theory – refers to the complex of social-political-philosophical
principles which organize ideas about the relationship between media
and society.
Information Theory – studies the transmission, processing, utilization,
and extraction of information.
Theories are the following;
 Effects theory (Hypodermic Syringe, Inoculation) – What do
media contribute to the audience?
 Reception theory (Nationwide Audience) – What do audiences
contribute to the media industry?
The teacher uses differentiated, developmentally appropriate
learning experiences to address learners’ gender, needs, strengths,
interests and experiences.(6)
Application (5 mins) The teacher plans, manages and implements developmentally
sequenced teaching and learning processes to meet curriculum
requirements and varied teaching contexts.(7)
From the different theories we have discussed, I want every
group to create a concept map. From there, ensure that key
concepts are included.
Assessment (10 mins) Formative Assessment
Method: Tests
Activity: Quiz
