Project Description
In Speech 2, you will give an informative speech wherein you will critically analyze a
painting, design, photograph, animation, interior/ architecture project, etc. done by a local or
international artist/designer. The informative speech should answer the following questions:
1. Description: What do you see? Describe form, medium, lines, shapes, colors, texture, etc.
2. Analysis: How was it done? Analyze rhythm, unity, symmetry, balance, proportion, etc.
3. Interpretation: What does it mean? Main idea/overall meaning of the work.
Project Requirements
a. Deliver a 7 to 8 minute speech.
b. Use the speech format taught in the course for the introduction paragraph.
c. Use verbal reference to a source or piece of research in your speech. For example:
According to ……in his book……. says…..
d. Use the attached format to assist in the development of your speech.
e. Use only outline when delivering your speech.
f. Use only up to THREE presentation slides to make your audience understand better.
Plagiarism detection
i. Plagiarism is detected by instructors by checking the originality of submitted work and
images. Proper academic referencing is also checked and originality of images.
ii. Plagiarized cases are also detected through other ways such as: unexpected increase in
student performance, inconsistency in style of work, etc.
iii. Faculty members use ‘Turnitin application’ to check originality in submitted work for
plagiarism.
iv. Maximum of two opportunities are given to a student to upload their work to ‘Turnitin’
application.
v. Faculty members also use ‘Google pictures’ or ‘Tin eye’ web-based applications to check
plagiarism in art work submitted.
vi. Adhere to American Psychological Association (APA) referencing style in academic writing.
Penalty:
o Copying any image from Google or any online sources and submitting it as it is or doing
minimal changes will get a “zero” for that particular project/assignment.
o Submitting other student’s already submitted work will get a “zero” in that particular
project/assignment.
o All assignments in the form of report, research and essay must be properly referenced
following APA referencing style. Furthermore, similarity index maximum of up to 20% is
accepted without any penalty, above that student will get a “zero” in the particular
assessment.

NOTE:
The instructor will observe the student’s performance online to make sure that the student:
is spontaneously delivering their own original work
is not reading from an external paper
