ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT EO JUNE

1. Summary of the Project

1.1 Narrative Report of Accomplishment
The Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme Seminar Workshop which I had attended last July 15,
2018 at GSP Council Office, Cagayan de Oro City had encouraged and motivated me to
participate in the Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme. When I got home I asked permission
from my parents that I will perform the national challenge of the girl scout which I am
really interested to do. I had decided to choose the area of ECOLOGY.

Our School Girl Scout Coordinator Tita Myrna S. Cagampang suggested me to do the
CGSMS project in barangay Lapad where I am residing but I had already made up my
mind to choose Barangay Poblacion, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental because I can easily
visit the place with my workgroup since it is the location of my school. Aside from that,
there was a time when I came to Brgy. Hall of Poblacion for some important matters, I
had noticed that there is an area beside the Brgy. Hall that can still be utilized and
improved to be more useful not only for the people in the Barangay hall but also to the
people in the community as a whole. That gives me an idea to use my leadership skills as
a girl scout. I took it as an opportunity to improve my skills and ability to work with
people in the community.

After deciding to participate in the National Girl Scout challenge which is the Chief Girl
Scout Medal Scheme (CGSMS), my troop leader Tita Mary Joy D. Sabella and I went to
the Barangay Hall and talked to the Barangay Captain regarding my proposed project. I
had received an approval from the Barangay Captain for me to perform my project. I also
informed the Purok President Mr. Mario A. Magdugo regarding it and he has expressed
his full support.

It was on August, 2018 when I started coordinating with the Barangay officials and
community leaders. I also had organized my workgroup and planned how to get over
with the project. That was also the time when I prepared the necessary documents,
request letters, budget proposals and application for CGSMS. I filled up the necessary
documents for final submission of my application forms for CGSMS candidate which I
had submitted to the GSP Council Office, Cagayan de Oro City.

September, 2018 I started to solicit materials needed for my CGSMS project. With the
help of our GSP School Coordinator Tita Myrna S. Cagapang and my Troop leader Tita
Mary Joy D. Sabella, I had received donations in-cash and in-kind from different people
in the community for my project. Saburnido Lumber donated lumber for the perimeter
fence, Bagas hardware donated a gallon of paint, Mr. Artemio Dalondonan and family
also donated a gallon of paint, Mr. Julie Fajanilbo also shared his blessings by giving a
gallon of paint, SK Chairman Julien Mark U. Madridano donated cash and manpower for
my project. The barangay CVO’s also extended their helping hands in painting the wall.
The grade 12 SHS-EIM students also shared their time in clearing the area. Russel
Ubanan, Ricky Jones Actub, Ryan Sabella, Jun Rey Obligado, and Roel Letigio for
extending their help in fencing the area. Rabuya and MJN hardware for sharing in-kind
for my project. The barangay Treasurer Lelith Saburao and the Barangay Secretary for
sharing their time to open the door for me to get the materials which I left inside the
barangay hall. Our Barangay Captain Rustom B. Pacamalan has also given his full support
for my project. My workgroup has also shared their time in cultivating the area. They are
Sr. Scout Najima M. Tubos, Sr. Scout Gracell Mae Salvador, Sr. Scout Princess Guenn
Tagam, Sr. Scout Charmie Britana, Sr. Scout Kiecy Dumaboc, Sr. Scout Kate Louise Bahian,
Sr. Scout Sarah Grace Bautista. My ever supportive parents Mr. Emmanuel Mugot and
Mrs. Alma Mugot has also shared their time, money and effort for the success of my
CGSMS project. Without these people my project would not be successful. But above all,
I believed that all these donations were given for my project because of GODs power.

That was also September, 2018 when I started to work with my project. From then, I
never stop working for the improvement of it. Being a Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme
CGSMS project. Without these people my project would not be successful. But above all,
I believed that all these donations were given for my project because of GODs power.

That was also September, 2018 when I started to work with my project. From then, I
never stop working for the improvement of it. Being a Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme
Candidate has developed my skills not only in leading my workgroup but also in
associating with people in the community.

December 11, 2018 When Tita Louise visited my project for the pre-evaluation and I was
happy upon knowing that I qualify for the council-wide evaluation. On January 19, 2019
the group of Council Executive Ma’am Lyra P. Vaguchay and company evaluated the
CGSMS project. They had given more suggestions for the improvement of my project.
Yet, I was given another chance to move forward for the next level of evaluation.

After the council-wide evaluation, I immediately worked-out on their suggestions and
positively waiting for the Regional Evaluators from the Eastern Mindanao Region and the
Turn-over Ceremony. I am hoping that my CGSMS project will be approved and be
awarded this year 2019 by GOD’s grace and power.

Summary of the Project to show the different stages of the project implementation:
Pre- planning:
Since Pre-school, I have been very active in scouting. As I proceed in high school, my GSP
Coordinator kept on encouraging me to apply in Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme. I was
inspired. I tried applying when I was in Grade 10 fortunately, I was accepted though
balancing my time in my studies and my project is not easy. I was inspired to perform and
I realized that applying in such will improved my skills in helping the community. I come
up with this project because I want to improve my skills or help the community to have a
very comfortable and relaxing place to chill. First, I visited barangay Poblacion to seek
information and talked to the Barangay Official particularly the Brgy. Captain Engr.
Rustom B. Pacamalan. We talked about the possible projects to do. Next, we gathered
data. And then, we build a work group and informed them about my project and then
asked for their support.

of the project.
Personal Experience/s, significant contribution to the community and lessons learned in carrying out
the project

Being a Chief Girl scout Scheme Candidate is a challenging and rewardding mission! Yes, it is!
Challenging in the sense that I have to show my leadership skills to my workgroup, friends and
the people in the community just to complete my mission which is to beautify and maintain the
area which I had choosen to work with. Aside from that, working with the people in the
community is not as easy as it is. Yet, I was able to conquer all the challenges because of the
people that gives their full support and cooperation for the success of my project. Facing
people, showing my project proposal and soliciting is not easy. But thanks God for giving me
wisdom and strengths to continue my CGSMS project.

The project which I had started which is the herbal and vegetable gardening project will serve as
the model in the community that will encourage the neighborhood to have their garden which
will increase vegetables consumption and utilize herbal medicine instead of synthetic medicine.
It can even influence a person’s attitudes and preferences for healthy foods. Herbal and
