SPOKEN POETRY
MECHANICS/ GUIDELINES
1. The contest is open to all students of IS School of Technology and Skills Development Inc.
2. The spoken word poetry must be an original composition. It should be written in Filipino, English.
(The use of Taglish is not allowed).
3. The entry must illustrate, interpret, and emphasize the theme and must not contain any malicious and
offensive content.

The poster must be done in free hand using the following materials (to be provided by contestant):
3. A ¼ -size illustration board (white background, vertical orientation) and regular pencil
4.Permitted coloring materials: oil pastel/craypas, markers, ink, oil, acrylic and water color

SLOGAN MAKING
1. Materials that will be used by the contestant will be (a.) 1 whole size white illustration board , (b.)
pencil, (c.) Coloring tools such as oil pastels, markers, ink, oil, acrylic, and water color.
2. Create your own slogan and poster inspired by the given theme.
Mechanics
ESSAY WRITING
Student essayists shall write an essay with a theme “Overcoming challenges, building resilience and
sustaining excellence”.
1. Essays shall follow the five (5)- paragraph structure — introduction, body, and conclusion.
2. Essays shall be written on the spot for two (1) hour.
1. The said contest shall be conducted into three (3) rounds: EASY, AVERAGE, AND
DIFFICULT.
2. Each question will have a corresponding point.
3. Easy Round - 1 point
4. Average Round - 3 points
5. Difficult Round - 5points
6. 2. The contestant with the highest score will be declared as the Champion.
