The activity started with an opening prayer led by Kagawad Jesus D. Blado, BPOC Vice
Chairman.
The BPOC Chairman, Elbert O. Baligod gave his opening message by expressing his
gratitude to the sponsors of the campaign; the Administrator of Sto. .Angel dela Guardia
Academy, Mrs. Mercy T. Maguigad with their unending support to the barangay, and all the
speakers and the BPOC Committee together with Mrs. Reenie Heidy C. Tollo, MLGOO of Tuao.
The Police Executive Master Sergeant (PEMS) Ma’am Aida B. Fabellar oriented the students
regarding the Peace and Order situation in Barangay Cato and in the Municipality of Tuao as a
whole. She also discussed the Republic Act No. 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government
Code of 1991 which mandates that all government units (LGUs) to ensure and maintain peace
and order within their respective areas of jurisdiction.
She was able to touch on the causes and reasons why people engage in drug addiction
because of family problems boredom and frustrations, weak personalities, desire to escape from
reality, and stealing items that are readily taken. She explains further to the young ones the
effects of these activities on their lives.
Patrolman Jayson Basiuang also strongly explains further the strategies of the Republic
Act No. 7160 as otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991. While Police Senior
Master Sergeant Innocencia Rica S. Reyes also discuss Terrorism in the Country as a whole
which was an open forum. The students delivered their questions more so on Terrorism in the
community. Ma’am Reenie Heidy C. Tollo gave her message to the participants and
congratulated the committee for the successful activity.
