SCRIPT

-Good morning and assalamalaikum everyone. My

name is eman malik. I am from MYP-3. I would
like to thank Ma’am Ayesha, Ma’am Irum and
teacher sidra for giving me the opportunity to
display my project. I would like to start my
presentation.
-This is my academic honesty form and these are
the 7 learning outcomes of the project from which
I fulfilled the 4 learning outcomes.
-My topic is drug abuse in educational institutes in
Pakistan. The rationale of my topic is, I have
selected this topic because I have observed that
the youth is not aware of the drug abuse and the
consequences of it. Moreover, the cultural values
and social dynamics don’t allow the families of
Pakistan to openly talk about it and thereby there
is a visible illetracy about it in the society.
Globally this issue has gained a lot of attention as
93 countries covering 84 percent of the global
population are aged 15-64 (5.5%). I wanted to
make people aware about this topic.
-My global context is identities and relationships,
Goal is awareness among youth,
Need is awareness and self-protection,
Community is unaware youth,
And the ATL’s that I have developed through this
journey are self-management skills, social skills
and research skills.

Investigation stage
-In investigation stage we did some questions
related to the topic. We selected the need,
community, global context and goal.
And this was the board that I made in
investigation stage on my topic to present
whatever I have done
- I interviewed doctor Asif Qureshi for data
collection and these were my interview questions
- Another interview that I did was from a drug
addicted student getting treatment at nyy zindagi
hospital where he talked about how his life
changed
- This was the summary of topic that I made, of
three pages
- These were the three posters that I made,
Two of them are digital and the third one I made
it on a chart paper

Planning stage
-In planning stage these were some of the
questions I researched on
- The next step that I did in planning stage was I
wrote a proposal and my plan about the display

Taking action
-In taking action I decided my action that what
action I am going to select
I write the reason that why am I selecting this
action and from where I got inspiration
I got inspiration from a booklet by United Nations
Office on Drugs and Crime and after that I created
my own booklet too
-I talked about that how did I came to action stage
after all the process, and decided to make social
media awareness page too

Reflecting stage
-In reflecting stage, I talked about summary of my
whole journey, my challenges, where I want to
take my project forward, and what was my
learning through this
