and I would like to greet you all a pleasant day. Today, we
will be presenting our research study entitled Sustainability in
Organic Rice Farming in Brgy. Saguma, Bayugan City, together
with my groupmates Lera Rizada, Kristel Queen Suan, Jerome
Odaga and Ken Ivan Madula.
Intro :
Organic farming depends on crop rotation, crop remains
utilization, composting, and less mechanical and manual
labor. Organic crops contain no or minimal chemical residue.
They contain more antioxidants and other nutrients, have a
richer flavor, and are more unassailable for people with food
sensitivities. But despite of its potential and market demand,
many farmers tend to lose interest in it, because of the
challenges and barriers they experience. Brgy Saguma is not
an exemption to this situation.

These are the problems we formulated. The objective of this


research is to explore farmers’ opinions on the barriers in
terms of: (read slide)
