To whom it may Concern:

This is a letter of recommendation for one of my former nursing students, Ms. Hailey Kavinski. In
the spring of 2022, Ms. Kivinski was assigned my clinical cohort for the NURS 470 class: Adult
Care of the High Acuity patient. I provided direct instruction for Ms. Kivinski during our Clinical
Days in the Cardiac ICU and Step-down units. I also supervised her participation in our biweekly
Simulation activities. Hailey put good effort into completing her assignments, coming prepared for
class, and actively participating in group discussions. She grew in her application of evidence-based
nursing interventions, improved her critical thinking skills, and gained confidence in utilizing a
broad range of bedside nursing skills. Over the semester, she successfully demonstrated
improvement in her relating the pathophysiology, labs, medication regimen, and symptomatology of
her patient disease states in a high-acuity setting. Ms. Kivinski communicated well, both verbally
and in written form, and was open to suggestions for improvement. Additionally, she interacted well
with the nursing staff and received positive feedback from her precepting nurses.

Hailey demonstrated a keen sense of personal integrity by adhering to the Nursing Code of Ethics
while performing her duties as a nursing student. She asked relevant questions in the clinical setting
and was motivated by a desire to be successful as a nurse, one who brings holistic empathetic care
to her patients and their families.

Please contact me should you have further questions.
