STORY READING

GUIDELINES/MECHANICS FOR STORY READING CONTEST

1. The contest is open to all Grade 9 students of Victoria National High School.
2. All contestants are given one (1) piece for story to story read
3. Each contestant is given 3 to 5 minutes for the presentation of the story.
4. Time shall officially start when the contestant utters the first word of the
presentation. And a penalty of I point deduction every 30 seconds in excess.

CRITERIA
Voice Projection - ----------------------------------------------------------- 20 %

(eye contact, gestures, facial expression, emotional expression)
English Proficiency --------------------------------------------------------- 35 %
( language use, pronunciation, pause, pitch, and pace)
Creativity -------------------------------------------------------------------- 10%
( use of props, sounds (effect) and costume)
