    Puerto Princesa School of Arts and Trades held a tree planting activity on February 15, 2023 to kick off their weeklong celebration of events for Valentine's Day and launch a program with the City of Puerto Princesa. Led by Dr. Sianita C. Tadlas, faculty and staff participated in planting trees and seedlings on campus. The theme, "A Vow to Fight Climate Change", made the activity timely as citizens of Puerto Princesa also planted trees in various venues. The tree planting served to reintegrate the school's advocacy of sustainable practices in the institution and community after limited activities during the pandemic.

    TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY II On February 15, 2023 at 10:00 in the morning Puerto
    Princesa School of Arts and Trades started the celebration of the weeklong activities for the
    month of February in relation to launching of program of events for Valentine’s Day together
    with the City of Puerto Princesa by planting trees and seedlings within the campus vicinity.
    Spearheaded by Dr. Sianita C. Tadlas, it was actively participated by the faculty and staff of the
    institution.
    For this year’s theme, “A Vow to Fight Climate Change”, it is indeed a very timely activity
    which is in simultaneous participation by the citizens of Puerto Princesa in various identified
    venues of the tree planting activity.
    After the stretch of years of limited activities during the height of pandemic, this kind of activity
    serves as perfect avenue for re-integrating the advocacy of promoting sustainable Green TVET
    practices not only in the institution but most importantly in the community.
