I- Title: School-Based Campus Journalism Seminar-Workshop

II- Date and Venue: March 9, 10 and 11, 2023 @ QES Two-Storey Building
III- Rationale: Writing is a skill that must be developed. In order to have a
strong republic, one must have a strong foundation in keeping the nation
united. Through writing, one can awaken the minds and hearts of every
Filipino citizen to take part and be a part of the nations’ progress. Hence,
this School-based campus journalism seminar work-shop is an avenue to
develop and harness the journalistic capabilities, talents of our school
paper advisers and young writers. We had witnessed how our national
and local journalists revealed and disclosed critical facts of national
interest and how they succeeded in touching the lives of every Filipino.
Hence, this training not only enhances the skills of our budding journalists
but also hone up coaching skills of the school paper advisers especially
the neophyte in preparation for the upcoming Division Schools Press
Conferences.
IV- Objectives: After the training participants will be able to:
1. harness journalistic skills of the coaches and budding journalists;
2. promote understanding among campus journalists the importance
of journalism by expressing it through different journalistic endeavors and
approaches;
3. develop responsible journalists who will become effective leaders
of the future;
4. to be fully equipped and prepared for the upcoming DSPC
