Mission Statement:
Much love Animal Rescue exists to rescue abused, neglected and homeless animals from
the streets and shelters of Los Angeles and place them in loving homes. Much Love is a 100%
non-profit organization run entirely by dedicated volunteers who offer their time and resources to
house, train, transport and care for these animals. Since its inception in 1999, Much Love has
placed over 4,000 animals into loving homes.

Mission/Purpose:
Their mission is to rescue abused, neglected and homeless animals from the streets and
find them a loving home. They go rescuing strays from animal shelters that have been there the
longest and have yet to be adopted and animals that are scheduled to be euthanized and will die
unless rescued. They help with providing medical care, and promote the importance of spraying
and neutering pets in order to reduce the numbers of unwanted animals on the streets. Why they
do it is because an estimated 2 million animals are euthanized in the US each year. They believe
that until that number is zero,they will continue to do what they do and rescue animals.
Part II
I chose this organization because as an animal lover myself, I believe everyone should

have a second chance to a happy life, including animals. I have a rescued dog myself, he was

going to be sent to an animal shelter because his last owners didn’t want him. I can’t imagine life

without him now or what the possibilities could’ve been if he was sent to a shelter now. Which is

why I chose this organization, because they help abused, neglected and homeless animals from

the streets and animal shelters. This organization helps find their rescued animals a loving home

because they believe that every animal deserves a loving family.

This organization provides a benefit to my community because knowing there is an

organization in my area that can help strays, there are animals in my area that now have a chance

at a loving home.As a volunteer in this organization I would envision myself helping animals big

or small by helping them find a loving home. I would help during their Weekend Adoption

setups and show the loving animals to the public so families would adopt them. I would also

promote the animals up for adoption on my social media and make flyers to put up on my area.

As I said, I am an animal lover myself so to me the benefit I would gain is pure happiness, I love

animals, all I want is to know that I helped them find a loving home with a loving family.
