1. Define perineal care.

Perineal care involves washing the genital and rectal areas of the body. It
should be done at least once a day during bed bath, shower, or tub bath.
This prevents infection and irritation.

2. What are the purposes of perineal care?

The purpose of perineal care is to not only clean the area but to also check
for infections or lesions in the area.

3. Enumerate those patients who need perineal care.

● Bedridden
● Dealing with incontinence
● Have indwelling catheter
