I.

OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard  The child demonstrates an understanding of letter
representation of sounds- that letters as symbols have names
and distinct sound.
 The child demonstrates an understanding of the sense of
quantity and numeral relations.
B. Performance Standard  The child shall be able to identify the sound and words
beginning with letter Qq.
 The child shall be able to perform simple addition of up to
10.
C.Learning Competencies  The child shall be able to trace letter Qq.
 The child shall be able to identify pictures that starts with
letter Qq.
 The child shall be able to count objects with one-to-one
correspondence up to quantities of 10.

TEACHER’S ACTIVITY PUPIL’S ACTIVITY
Meeting Time 1
A. The teacher will ask the pupils about the weather and [Intro]
the date. Then let the pupils sing a song entitled, “The When you say Q and it’s next to a U
Letter Q Song” It sounds like “Kwuh” as in quack-quack and quail
Qu-qu-qu-quiver and qu-qu-qu-quiz
What a quality letter this letter Q is!

Q is for quake, when something starts quaking
There’ll be lots of rumbling and rattling and shaking
Q is for quilt, a warm cozy spread
Just like a blanket, it goes on your bed
Q is for questions, things you want to know
Like, “What is a quince? Where does a quince grow?”
Q is for quick, quick means to be fast
If you run very quickly you won’t come in last (Won’t come in
last)

A. The teacher will ask the pupils about the song they
have sang.

A. The teacher will let the pupils put objects on the cups
labeled from 1 to 10.
We have here cups with numbers on it. You will be
putting objects in each cups with the right quantity.

Here’s what you will do. You will put objects according
to the numbers of each cups.

Like for example: for the cup with one on it, I will put
one stone only.
B. The teacher will discuss numbers 1 to 10.

All objects have equivalent numbers. Look around the


corners. Those letters above when counted is 26.

If we count each other, we will be the same as a number.

Activity: The pupils will match the numbers to the


quantity of items on the board.

The pupils will clap according to the picture of number
