The following describes each sequence for Temporary Shoring System work at Fatmawati
Station.
1) Preparation Work
The work for temporary shoring system at Fatmawati Station will be commenced after
completion of column work. The work will be commenced firstly with preparation work.
Preparation work are as follows:
- Mobilization of the resources; including equipments, materials and labour as listed on
the above part.
- Survey Work; In prior to commence the main work, survey will be carried out in the first
time. Survey work will be including checking the elevation and the situation for the
position of shoring at Fatmawati Station Area, staking out for the position of shoring
including foundation itself and marking for the elevation of foundation of shoring.
- Cleaning Area; the area that will be used for shoring area should be cleaned up firstly.
The unused material around the area should be removed.
2) Sub-grade Preparation
After completed preparation work, the next sequence for temporary shoring is sub-grade
preparation. This work will be carried out in prior to foundation work of shoring.
Sub-grade preparation will be including as follows:
- Flattening the sub-grade level; This activity will use mini excavator PC78,or manual
method by man-power, depend on the site condition.
- Compaction of sub-grade level, at some area that backfilled area or original soil
condition. Compaction will use baby roller with some passing will be required.
- CBR Test; at some area after completion compaction, CBR test will be required to
carry out. The value of CBR test will refer to the design of foundation for shoring as
shown on the Appendix
- After catch the CBR result as required, the work will be continue to foundation work as
described on the next sequence.
3) Foundation Work
Foundation work for shoring system will be carried out as decided design. The step of work
for this foundation is described on the follow:
- Checking for the position and elevation of exiting ground level after surveyed.
- Install plastic sheet, as separated material between sub-grade and concrete afterward
- Install Rebar for foundation of shoring, with the size of rebar and distance among the
rebar as design. Some anchor rebar for bed beam of shoring also will be installed at
some points which was decided.
- Install Formwork around the foundation area as designed. Also, the elevation of top
foundation should be marked before ward for the reference during concreting work.
The formwork material will use vinolite wood with properly support by wood material
also. The position of formwork and elevation will be ensured before next step of work.
- Concreting work, using concrete ready mix fc24 slump 12+ 2. Properly electric vibrator
will be used to avoid honeycomb and ensured the density of concrete. To avoid
disturbing of existing traffic, the concreting work will be carried out on night time at
some area.
- Curing work will be carried out using geotextile material on the top of foundation after
concreting and keep on wet condition. Curing time will be carried out on 3 days after
concreting.

- Others activity that will be have potentiality to disturb the traffic.


However, for minor work that will be have small potential to disturb the traffic, it will be
carried on Day Time, with no big impact to the traffic flow. The activity that can be carried
out on day time are such as:
- Install reinforcement bar and formwork for foundation of shoring
- Install Bed beam
- Allocated some material as preparation work before erection on night time
- Others activity that will be not impacted to the traffic flow.

b. Allocated relevant traffic sign


Relevant traffic sign will be installed during activity of this work. The traffic sign will be
installed before working area. This traffic sign will inform to the traffic user that there are
working area in front .
The special signage to support this activity also will be installed before Fatmawati Station
area. This signage is Clearance Height sign, that should be installed before cross beam of
shoring was installed. This signage will be installed to indicate that during shoring system
installed, Not all vehicle will be allowed to pass this road. The clearance height condition
is described on next point.

c. Allocated flagman
Some flagman, with coordinated by Safety Team, will be allocated at the working area.
The flagman will maintain traffic flow to avoid big impact to the traffic user and contractor
it-self. The flagman also will ensure safe condition for traffic user, especially during the
construction activity is carried out. Some standard tools for flagman, red-flag (for day time)
and traffic lamp (for night time) will be provided to each flagman staff to support maintain
the traffic.
d. Coordination with related authority
Before and during this activity, TWJO will keep communicate and coordinate with related
authority. The authority for this activity are including as follows:
- BBPJN - IV, as the authority for National Road of Jalan Simatupang
- PT Hutama Karya of Toll Road Division, as the authority of Toll Road
- PT JLJ, as the authority for operational of Toll Road
- Dishub, as the authority for traffic condition
- Traffic Police, as the authority for condition of traffic.
TWJO will share for the result of each official coordination with the authority as the above,
as maintaining process to keep communicate with the authority. This method will
minimize some complain from them.
e. Clearance Height
The installation of this shoring system will be impacted to the clearance height for both
road, Jalan Simatupang and access to toll road. However, before installation, this matter
will be coordinated to the related authority before ward.

The clearance height for each Grid of Fatmawati Station will be different due to exiting
elevation of Road. The maximum of height after installation of shoring is 4.2 m.

The following is table that showing the clearance height for each Grid of Fatmawati
Station.

10. Environmental Plan

TWJO will consider for environmental impact during temporary shoring system work at
Fatmawati Station. The consents of environmental plan on this activity are as follows:
a) Cleaning Area
TWJO will keep and protect cleanliness on working area and around area. During
process of work and transportation activity, TWJO will provide Water Jet Washer to
clean up the existing road. This method could keep cleanliness of the road from mud soil
on tire from Truck and other vehicle. The water will be provided on access at working
area for cleaning it. TWJO will always control the cleanness inside working area and
around, especially on the existing road. Special worker for cleaning up also will be
provided to maintain clean condition at working area and surrounding area.
b) Disposing of Excavated Soil Material
As affected of this work, the unused material will be disposed to the determined disposal
area. The garbage material will be collect on one location, before to be disposed
afterward.
c) Dust Control
The possible treatment on dust control is to use the Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE) for worker. Watering for working area also will be carried out depending on the
condition, and to minimized dust from working area.

11. Safety Plan

Safety is the important things that shall be enforced during the activity of temporary shoring
system at Fatmawati Station. The relevant safety procedure will be applied during this work.
The safety plan that will be applied is including:

a) Personnel Standard Safety Tools, i.e. safety helmet, reflector vest, safety shoes and
Full Body Harness during working at High Level. These safety tools shall be appropriate
with safety standard. TWJO will keep all of personnel to always use Personnel Standard
Safety Tools during working.

b) Safety for maintaining existing traffic, i.e. rubber cone, plastic safety barrier, red flag,
traffic sign board and other related safety material. A safety office and flagman will be
provided during activity to concern on safety matter and control existing traffic.

c) Safety on the equipment when operated; the around area of equipment shall be make
sure on safe condition. TWJO will check the condition of equipment which shall be safe
before used. Working radius of crane and maximum lifting load shall be confirmed on
layout drawing and at site.

d) Safety on the material; Safe location will be provided for stock area of material before
used. During unloading the material, a safety officer will make sterilization to the area
from unimportant persons and others. Unloading of material will be guided by special
personnel and supported by workers. During loading and unloading, it shall be made
sure that no one stands on the bottom of material when lifted up. It will prevent accident
during this activity.

e) Safety Facilities; TWJO will provide safety facilities at working area. The safety facilities
will be including First aid; oxygen bottle, etc, lighting for night work, ladder, etc.

f) Safety Welding and Steel Cutting Work; TWJO will ensure that during welding and
steel cutting work, especially on high level, will keep on safe condition. Before
commencement the work, all of tools and equipment should be checked firstly,
especially for the condition of Oxygen and Acetylene tube, including the connector of it.
This tools should be on safe condition. For the welding tools also should be checked
firstly, and ensure on safe condition.

Beside of the tools, the special worker for it also should be inducted firstly by Safety
Officer before start the work. Also, the worker should use the special PPE; such as weld
glasses, special hand gloves, and others, to protect the worker. This method can be
ensured also that the activity of its will be on safe condition.

During welding or cutting of steel on the high level, Fire Blanket should be provided and
used. This method will ensure on safe condition for the bellowing of welding work. The
sparks of fire from this work will be managed during fall down.

g) Safety after Completion of Work; TWJO will ensure also after completion installation of
temporary shoring system from safety side. The items of ensuring are including:
- Installation of handrail surround the top level of shoring system. This method will
protect the worker from falling-down.
- Installation of safety net, surround the handrail and bottom of cross beam. This
method will protect fall-down of material from the top.
- Minimized to stock unused material on the high level to avoid falling-down of
material.
- Final checking also will be carried out between Safety team and Construction team
to ensure safe condition after completion the work.
