SPECIFICATION NOTES – COLD WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM

1. Allow Prov. Sum of LKR 30,000 for connecting to main water supply line including
meter reader and pipework up to meter reader.
2. All uPVC pipes are to be with SLS 147:1993 type 1000
3. All uPVC pipe fittings are to be with SLS 659:1993 type 1000
4. All joints in pipes are to be with solvent cement
5. Pipes in walls and slabs are fixed with uPVC brackets to wall/ floor slab at 200mm
centres
6. All values are to be brass confirming to BS 1010 with screw threaded thread seal joints
7. Branch services lines are laid in chases.
8. Under ground pipes are laid on grade C15 500x50 mm sized concrete bed
9. Special joints are to be with screw threaded thread seal joints
10. Overhead tank is 1000l capacity uPVC tank confirming to BS 4213
11. 500x500x500 mm sized valve chamber comprising of 50mm thick grade C15 concrete
bed, 115mm thick brick wall and DI cover to suit to top of the pit
12. Three sets of hard copies of as built drawings are required to submit by the Contractor
at completion
