The data shows that in Grade 1, out of the 108 learners who took the test, 93 or
86.11% of them achieved or exceeded the Minimum Proficiency Level (MPL).
While 54 or 83.07% of the male learners achieved or exceeded MPL, 39 or
90.69% of female learners achieved or exceeded MPL. On the other hand, 11 or
11.82% of male learners and 5 or 11.62% of female learners did not achieve
MPL.
Based on the results, it can be recommended that the school continue to provide
support and resources to learners who did not achieve the MPL, regardless of
gender. It may also be helpful to assess the specific areas where learners
struggled the most and provide targeted interventions to improve their
performance in these areas. Additionally, it may be beneficial to examine any
potential biases or factors that may be contributing to the gender disparity in
MPL achievement and address them accordingly.
