14 இப்போதோ உம்முடைய ராஜ்யபாரம் நிலைநிற்காது; கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய

இருதயத்திற்கு ஏற்ற ஒரு மனுஷனைத் தமக்குத் தேடி, அவனைக் கர்த்தர்
தம்முடைய ஜனங்கள்மேல் தலைவனாயிருக்கக் கட்டளையிட்டார்; கர்த்தர் உமக்கு
விதித்த கட்டளையை நீர் கைக்கொள்ளவில்லையே என்று சொன்னான்.
But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the Lord hath sought him a man
after his own heart, and the Lord hath commanded him to be captain
over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the Lord
commanded thee.

2 Samuel 7:12-14

12 உன் நாட்கள் நிறைவேறி, நீ உன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரைபண்ணும்போது, நான்

உனக்குப்பின்பு உன் கர்ப்பப்பிறப்பாகிய உன் சந்ததியை எழும்பப்பண்ணி, அவன்
ராஜ்யத்தை நிலைப்படுத்துவேன்.
And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set
up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will
establish his kingdom.

13 அவன் என் நாமத்திற்கென்று ஒரு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவான்; அவன்

ராஜ்யபாரத்தின் சிங்காசனத்தை என்றைக்கும் நிலைக்கப்பண்ணுவேன்.
He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his
kingdom for ever.

14 நான் அவனுக்குப் பிதாவாயிருப்பேன், அவன் எனக்குக் குமாரனாயிருப்பான்;

அவன் அக்கிரமம் செய்தால், நான் அவனை மனுஷருடைய மிலாற்றினாலும்
மனுபுத்திரருடைய அடிகளினாலும் தண்டிப்பேன்.
I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten
him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

Psalm 51:3
(NIV) states David’s confession. The verse says, “For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.”
1 Samuel 30:6
(NIV) says, “…but David found strength in the Lord his God”.
