Phase changes
of Matter
MALANA, JUNEL JULES I. BSP 2-3
Phase change of Matter
Phase change of Matter occurs when
a substance (currently in a
specific state) changes into
another state. Phase change is
achieved when such factors like
heat and pressure is applied
resulting to reaction in the
movements of atoms(Ahdahl, 2019).
LET US DISCUSS ABOUT:

5 Phase changes
MELTING | VAPORIZATION | FREEZING | CONDENSATION | SUBLIMATION
Melting
An Endothermic reaction, Solid
wherein a substance in the
Solid State changes into
Liquid State, with the help of
Heat. Heat is accelerating the
speed of Molecules that leads
to its change in its Phase.

MELTING | VAPORIZATION | FREEZING Liquid

| CONDENSATION | SUBLIMATION
Melting
The Ice absorbs the Heat from Solid
the Surrounding like the Room
Temperature and also the
Container's Temperature,
because of this the Ice
Molecules are loosening or
slowing.

MELTING | VAPORIZATION | FREEZING Liquid

| CONDENSATION | SUBLIMATION
Vaporization
An Endothermic reaction, Gas
wherein a substance in the
Liquid state changes into
Gaseous State, with the help
of heat. Heat accelerated the
speed of Liquid Molecules upto
its point that it changes into
Gas.
MELTING | VAPORIZATION | FREEZING Liquid
| CONDENSATION | SUBLIMATION
Vaporization
The Vape (E-Cigarette) Juice Gas
evaporated with the help of
Hot Coil with Cotton inside.

MELTING | VAPORIZATION | FREEZING Liquid

| CONDENSATION | SUBLIMATION
Freezing
An Exothermic Reaction,
wherein a substance in the Colder
Liquid State changes into
Solid State. The lack of heat
Surface
is decelerating the speed of
Water Molecules that puts it
in the Solid State.

| CONDENSATION | SUBLIMATION
Freezing
The Surrounding Temperature
of the Freezer is starting to Colder
froze or slow down the
movements of the Water
Surface
Molecule putting it into the
Solid State.

Condensation
An Exothermic Reaction,
wherein a substance in the
Gaseous State changes into
Liquid State. The lack of
heat is decelerating the
speed of the Gas Molecules
that puts it into the Liquid
State.
MELTING | VAPORIZATION | FREEZING
| CONDENSATION | SUBLIMATION Liquid Formation
Condensation
The Cold Water inside a glass
bottle slowed the movement of
the Gas Molecules around it
that resulted in the Water
Formation outside the Glass.

MELTING | VAPORIZATION | FREEZING

| CONDENSATION | SUBLIMATION Liquid Formation
Sublimation
An Endothermic Reaction,
wherein a substance in the
Solid State changes into
Gaseous State. External Solid (Albatross)
Factors like surrounding heat
supported the sublimation
process.

| CONDENSATION | SUBLIMATION
Sublimation
The Albatross (in Solid
State) sublimates with the
help of Surrounding heat and
its Chemical Structure Solid (Albatross)
