Governor Makes Reges Oceanfront Resort A Smoke-Free Beach

Your New Favorite Smoke-Free Beach

WILDWOOD CREST, N.J. - April 12, 2022 - Governor Chris Christie has proudly
introduced Reges Oceanfront Beach as a new smoke-free beach effective May 1, 2022.

“We believe the safety and health of our residents are what comes first. We expect the increase in
family rates to go up after this ban causing families to feel more at ease without worrying about
children being exposed to smoke. We also have smoke-free areas for residents who choose to
participate in smoking, but it is prohibited elsewhere.” President and General Manager Anthony
Mollica.

Reges Oceanfront Resort for over 40 years has been known for its activities, restaurants,
shopping, family-fun outings, and beautiful scenery. Reges’s reputation is expected to continue
and increase with the new policy in May. The Reges offers many exciting area attractions that
impress our residents and multiple amenity options. We want our Residents to relax and enjoy
what the Reges offers.

We value our resident's opinions and ideologies regarding the decision to a smoke-free beach,
but it is our mission to provide a healthy and safe beach for all residents. It has come to our
attention that individuals feel this violates their freedom, but there are many other resorts that
don’t offer this privilege. The education regarding why smoking is bad decreases future smokers
and we hope residents take this into consideration.

“As the Governor it is my responsibility to keep everyone informed and safe, with that being said
my plan is to ban smoking on beaches to decrease the rate of smokers and keep this beach
healthy”. Governor Chris Christie.
Reges Oceanfront Resort is proud to represent Governor Christ Christies policy and his plan to
create a smoke-free beach.
