Sub: Statement on Genuine Temporary Entrant
I am writing this letter in reference towards my student visa application to
express my genuine intention to study in Australia and live here on a
temporary basis. I have applied for my further study in National institute of
Education (NIET) to study Certificate III Certificate IV and Diploma Hospital
Management in Commercial Cookery and would like to submit the reasons for
further study plans in Australia for your perusal.
Relevance of my course to my background
I finished +2 in Management from my home country Nepal, then I came to
Australia in the year 2019. On Dependent Visa and start to work and live in
Sydney more than two years between on that two years I worked on kitchen
sector and I move to Tasmania last year and I am trying to find job on kitchen
but won’t be able to find so I am trying to join course commercial cookery
which leads me easy to find job after completing the course .However talking
with my family background we have our own hospitality business in home
country which encourage me to learn hospitality sector . as well as some
business knowledge. But to run a business, it is very important that there be a
team. As a business owner I should be able to manage my team if I want to
succeed in my business. more fascinated and attracted to continue working in
this sector. Over these years, my work experience has helped me to gain
practical skills and knowledge. But, I have realised practical knowledge alone
would not be sufficient to give recognition to my obtained experience.
Therefore, I would like to study Certificate III in Commercial Cookery from
National Institute of Education and Technology (NIET). Upon its completion
along with my experience I am confident that when I return to my country I
can establish Event Management and Hospitality Services Company. Back in
my country, this industry is booming, and I see great career opportunities in
this sector. I am also passionate about cooking and like try cook different
recipes whenever I have free time for my friends and families. So, I believe I
could turn my hobby into a career. There have been many instances during my
work when I felt that having qualification in cookery would even help me
perform my job in a better manner. This course will also better explain me
about the health and safety issues which is very important at workplace.

Reasons for Choosing NIET

As National institute of Education & Technology (NIET) College in Hobart is a
newly established provider, I am convinced that they will provide me with the
best education facility. The college is very accessible, given the limitations of
public transportation facilities in Hobart. I personally visited the college
premise and was pleased to find that the study environment very friendly and
qualified teaching staff. The college also has a very good reputation which I
came to know after talking to some current students. I also got to know that
the staff of AIBT are friendly and are always ready to assist students whenever
required. The institution provides range of courses with quality education.
They have very good partnerships with big businesses in Hobart. Therefore, I
was convinced that I can not only get theoretical knowledge but also practical
hands on knowledge on different management grounds by visiting the college
partner businesses. Similarly, the college boasted having diversified students
from different countries enabling me to have an international study
experience. The course structure also seemed appropriate and carefully
designed. This will help to enhance my skill and enable to get success in my
career.

Reasons for Choosing to study in Australia

Australian degrees are recognised worldwide, and they are equally valued as
well. The teaching techniques that we have in here is different from my home
country. Australian degrees enable to get both practical and theoretical
knowledge, but in my home country the teaching pattern was more based on
theoretical knowledge and there was a lack of practical knowledge.as I have
research about Australian degree that whatever theory was taught in the
class had to be applied in real life scenario. And according to my research
assessment and tasks had to convert in theory into practice. This way in
Australia made able to hone there skills. So, having an Australian degree gives
me competitive advantage over competitor. When I go back to my home
country, with the essence of the Australian degree I can be distinct from the
crowd. Further, choosing Tasmania as a study destination was because of its
cities being safe, welcoming and offer a secure environment for study and
living. Here, there is a growing and thriving community which offers lively
cultural and arts scene. International students who study in Tasmania,
Australia have access to a full range of support services including contact with
dedicated student advisors. The programs offered in Tasmania, Australia are
well resourced with dedicated teachers. These cultures and values are very
important for me when I finish my studies and go back to my home country to
start my career and future in Nepal.

`Financial Ability:
Since, I have been working in Tasmania for more than a year now, I have good
amount of savings in my bank account. I have AU$10,575 at Australia and New
Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ). Besides that, parents are also very
supportive for my studies as they know that after the completion of my course
I will return Nepal to look after them and start my business. My parents has
sound income and we have properties back in Nepal which provides us good
income. However, due to the lockdown in Nepal, my parents aren’t able to
provide financial documents (Bank Balance) to support me. As soon as, the
lockdown eases up, I will provide the financial documents. Overall, I want to
assure that there won’t be any financial problem during my stay in Australia.

The relevance of my course to my future career:

As I have already mentioned that I want to be a businessman and run a
business in the future back in my country Nepal, I feel my aspiration to become
a businessman and the course that I am currently going to undertake. My
working experience in Australia has been mostly in the hospitality sector. I
have researched hospitality sector in Nepal and have seen that there is still a
lack of complete hospitality services business under one roof. After returning
back to Nepal I intend to do further research in this field. While still working in
Australia, I was given an option of part time job in Tasmania in a very different
type of hospitality sector. I was told that I will get to work in University of
Tasmania catering services through Compass Group. I thought about this
option and I got very interested in how university accommodation and food
service work. This was a very different thing than the ones that I worked in
before. I researched about it and found that it is a very profitable business and
it would help me in the future when I go back to my home country after my
studies. This is one of the reasons I moved to study in Tasmania. I then intend
to open an Event Management and Hospitality Services Company which would
not only provide event management services but also help other hospitality
industry participants with auxiliary services that they may not be specialised in.
For this to happen my accounting skills will help me in the business planning
phase, my leadership and management studies will help me create a successful
team for the business, whereas my cookery skills will help me to understand
full operations in the
kitchen. This hospitality service company will not only focus on normal
restaurant and catering business but also cater to university students which I
am learning currently at my job in Compass Group which provide various
services to students in University of Tasmania. My job experience combined
with the course of studies that I will do in my Certificate III in Commercial
Cookery will enable me to establish the business similar to the ones that I am
currently working in. This course will help me to gain sound knowledge of
kitchen operations to prepare food and menu items. It will also help me to
work independently and under limited supervision using plans, policies and
procedures to guide work activities. I have done my research and apart from
the hospitality services business providing services to businesses in the
hospitality sector, I will also open catering services similar to the ones that I am
currently working in Australia. I am sure to be able to establish a business in
Nepal which initially will have a turnover of around NPR 1 to 1.5 million
(given my estimates) on a quarterly basis. I plan to increase that sales by
investing properly and bringing in good changes within the business in 8-12
months’ time of establishing the business.

Ties to my home country:

I am the only son of my parents. I have to go back to my home country to take
care of them. It is not only my moral and ethical duty but also my social
responsibility to take care of them. My parents have some property in Nepal
which will pass on to me as I am their only son. I will also inherit my father’s
business when he decides to retire in 2-3 years. All this combined will give me
a comfortable life in Nepal when I return after completing my course. I am
confident that I will be able to use my knowledge and skills learned in Australia
to make a good career for myself and a good life for my family in Nepal. I hope
I have been able to provide my reasons for studying the proposed course and
me being a genuine temporary entrant in Australia as a student. If you need
any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me or my migration
agent.

Kind Regards
