spreadsheet program that we use today is
Microsoft excel.You may have use it before or
maybe familiar with it since it always included
in the window and Microsoft office package. It
uses column and rows like table when you were
enter data in each cell.

application program included in Microsoft
office and its full name is Microsoft Office
Excel.
Spreadsheets can help you do basic math such as
addition, subtraction, multiplication, and
division. You can also do the following:
 Format the column titles with text;
 Enter textual information in each cell aside
from numbers;
 Delete, add, or merge column or rows;
 Add or delete sheets; and
 Select printing options.

Microsoft excel no longer provide a chart
wizard. Instead, you can create a basic chart by
click a chart type that you want on the insert tab
in the charts group.
Here are the steps in creating a chart in MS
Excel.
1. Enter the data for the chart on a worksheet.

2. Compute for the chart table values.


A. enter an average formula in Cell
G4.Example: =AVERAGE(C4:F4). You may
use also the MS excel function formula.
Computing for the averages for each subject
area.
B. Press enter to set the computed average value
for cell G4.
C. Select G4 then drug from G4 to G8 using the
mouse to apply formula to other cells. This will
automatically displayed the average value of the
other subject areas then press enter.
D. Compute the general average. Click cell G9
then enter the formula=AVERAGE(G4:G8)
click enter to show the value
3. Select the data for the chart.
A. Select the cells from A4 to A8 by drugging
the mouse button, then hold the control key to
select from the G4 to G8. great average of each

B. Select a chart type that you want in the insert
tab in the charts group. For this exercise select
pie chart in 3D.
4. Create chart by double clicking the selected
chart or by pressing enter. Select a pie chart and
excel will automatically plot the value of your
worksheet to your selected chart.
5. You can modify one or more of the following
elements.
A. Chart title
B. Axis title
C. Legend
D. Data labels
E. Data table
F. Axes
G. Gridlines
6. Save the excel document.
Note: Use any of the following method to save
the active workbook.
1. Click the office button; then, choose save.
2. Click the save button on the quick access
toolbar.
3. Press Ctrl+S.
4. Press Shift=F12
