(10 pts)

Title:
FILTERING ACTIVITY OF Ceiba pentandra (KAPOK) SILK COTTON AS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY
IN REDUCING HYDROCARBON CONTENT OF THE EXHAUST FROM GASOLINE-BASED
MOTORCYCLE PIPE
Variables:
 FILTERING ACTIVITY OF Ceiba pentandra (KAPOK) SILK COTTON = __Independent
Variable

Filtering activity of Ceiba pentandra (KAPOK) Silk cotton is the independent variable
because the filtering activity of Ceiba pentandra will be the variable that the researchers will
change to get the results. Using this variable, the researchers can assess the amount of
hydrocarbon content that is generated from gasoline-based motorcycle pipe.
 REDUCING HYDROCARBON CONTENT OF THE EXHAUST FROM GASOLINE-BASED
MOTORCYCLE PIPE_=_Dependent Variable

Reducing hydrocarbon content of the exhaust from gasoline-based motorcycle pipe is

the dependent variable because it is affected by the Filtering Activity of Ceiba pentandra. It is
the dependent variable because the findings will depend on the amount of silk cotton applied to
the exhaust of motorcycle pipes. Therefore determining how much hydrocarbon content will be
reduced.

Activity III. Make a concept map of the topic: “Classification of Variables” stating its macro and micro
subtopics. Refer to the example given. (10 points)
