“Factors Affecting Grade 12 Senior High School Students in Choosing Course for

Tertiary Education”, a descriptive study conducted by Daen M and Czar M. (2018) indicated that

Senior High school students have their criteria and ideas in the courses they want because they

could decide to follow what their Senior High school Strand or specialization offers. The data

gathered by the researchers implied the quality of education is one of the factors that can be

considered in selecting courses for tertiary education. Additionally, the researchers show that

hobbies, talents, and skills affect the students in choosing courses for tertiary education and was

influenced by their own selves. The result of their study also indicated that career success could

be best attained if there’s proper guidance for the students in choosing courses in college.
