artworks.

(The teacher will present the presentation)

1. Michaelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti

Simoni( 1475-1565) Michelangelo was an Italian sculptor, painter,
architect, and poet. He was considered the
greatest living artist in his lifetime, and ever
since then he was considered as one of the
greatest artists of all time. A number of his
works in paintings, sculpture, and
architecture rank among the famous in
existence. One of his best known work is The
Pieta.

Kindly read Ms.(Name of the student)

Great! (short explanation of the teacher).

This famous work of art depicts the body of

Jesus on the lap of his mother Mary after the
crucifixion that represents Mary sorrowfully
contemplating the dead body of her son. It is
made of marble that seems like flesh and
intricate folds of drapery.

(Look closely and see how Michaelangelo gives

detail in his master piece.)

1. Leonardo di ser Piero Da Vinci(1452-1519)

Leonardo Da Vinci-was a painter, architect,
scientist, and mathematician. He was
popularized in present times through the
novel and movie, “Da Vinci Code.” He is
known as the ultimate “Renaissance man”
because of his intellect, interest, talent, and
his expression of humanist and classical
values.

Who is Da Vinci? Kindly do read? Mr.(Name of the

student)

Thank You! (short explanation of the teacher).

Considered the most famous and most
parodied portrait.Unarguably it is the most
discussed painting because of the enigmatic
smile and her eyes in such a way that even
when you change the angle of the view, the
eyes of Mona Lisa seems to always follow
you. This figure of a woman, dressed in the
Florentine fashion of her day and seated in a
visionary, mountainous landscape, is a
remarkable instance of Leonardo's sfumato
technique of soft, heavily shaded modeling.

Did you know that?

Some historians believe that Mona Lisa is a self-

portrait of Leonardo but they still undertaking a
deep investigation to support this claim.

Raphael was an Italian painter and architect

2. Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino( 1483-1520) of high Renaissance period. His work

admired for its clarity of form and ease of
composition for its visual achievement of
interpreting the divine and incorporating
Christian doctrines.

Yes, that’s correct!

Did you know that?

Together with Michelangelo and Leonarado Da

Vinci, he form the traditional Trinity of Great Men of
that period because of their excellence and
extraordinary contribution to the field of arts.

The Transfiguration was Raphael’s last

painting on which he worked on up to his
death. Commissioned by Cradinal Guilio de
Medici and was conceived as an altarpiece
for the Narbonned Cathedral in France.
Moreover, it exemplifies Raphael’s
development as an artist and the culmination
of his career. The subject is combined with
and additional episode from the Gospel in
the lower part of the painting.

Ma’am, based from the activity we’ve answer

earlier, I believe we will be discussing
Donatello.
