What were the best and worst parts of the Senior Project/Senior Seminar?
The worst part of my senior project was finding what to do for my senior project. Also having to
find a different project to do since the first one I picked was going to be to expensive. Another
thing was that my project was for my house so I had to listen to my parents with everything I did.
The best part of it was that I got to choose how I wanted the table to look.

List three things you now know after completing your Senior Project.
The first thing I now know is that you can't just rush stuff when using stain and polyurethane.
The next thing is that you can’t give up on something no matter how long it takes. Finally when
you build something for someone you can’t choose how you want it to go.

Which aspect of the Senior Project/Senior Seminar stretched you the most? How did
you feel about and react to this challenge?
The biggest stretch for my senior project is probably figuring out what to do for my project. Also
that getting all the boards cut exactly the same length. And finally having the patience to wait for
the polyurethane to fully cure so I can put antooher coat on.

How has the Senior Project/Senior Seminar changed you (skills, attitudes, work
habits, capabilities, confidence, poise, presentation, etc.)?
My senior project changed me by getting stuff done on time. It gave news skills of how to screw
in screws with a tool I have never used before. It also made me able to have more patience
working on stuff.

Has this experience influenced your future plans?

This experience hasn’t really changed any of my future plans in life. Because I want to do a job
that is hands-on. Considering I want to do hands-on work with this project just gives me more
skill for a hands-on job.

What would you do differently if you had to do the whole Senior Project/Senior
Seminar process again?
The thing I would do different is redoing the chairs for the table. The reason for that is because
the chairs were painted teal and the don’t go with the table now. Finally I would not put a second
coat of stain on the table frame because the black stain is really dark after two coats.

What advice do you have for next year’s seniors?

Some advice to give to students it to figure out what the project is going to be and try to get it
done when it gets approved. But to make sure they log their hours so they do not forget what
they did. Another thing is that to get all their work done in Senior Semiar since all the stuff is
pretty simple to do. So than you can work on your stuff for other classes.

What grade would you give yourself for your Senior Project, and what justification
do you have for that grade?
I would give myself probably an 95/100 because my project is pretty perfect. Everything on it is
level and evenly spreaded. And all the boards for the table top is flush and there are also no drip
spots.
