My name is Brianna Herold, and I am writing to be considered as a teacher candidate in your

district. I am a fourth-year student at South Dakota State University, alongside Dakota State
University for the CO-OP program. I am majoring in Early Childhood Education and Elementary
Education. I also have a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. I am excited to begin
my professional career as an educator.

My experience and teaching philosophy have prepared me to be an excellent teacher for your
district. I have strengths in communication, organization, and I am passionate about guiding
others to dream bigger. My coursework at SDSU and DSU has prepared me to provide students
with an education that is hands- on, investigative and drives students to think deeper. Any
individual who walks into my room will be respected, valued, and cared for. They will know that
this classroom is a safe space and one where they can be themself.
