c. Explain
In music, we also have slow, moderate and fast What is tempo, Ma’am?
and that is what we called Tempo.

Tempo is the speed of the music. So, when I sing or dance, there’s a tempo,
It’s how fast or slow something is happening. If teacher?
you walk, you are moving at a slow tempo. If you
run, you are moving at a faster tempo.

Yes, and music also has tempo.

Tempo is very important for music. Without tempo Right, Ma’am.

there’s no such good music, right?

The tempo of the music helps to tell the story. For

example, if the music is very slow, it can sound
sad. If the music is very fast, it can sound happy
or exciting. It is important that we recognize and
pay attention to the movement of the sound.
Same goes when you’re singing or dancing. You
have to know where to start and what movement
are you going to make.

In music, we have musical terms which can

identify the slow, moderate and fast movement.
For slow, we have Adagio, moderate is Moderato
and fast would be Allegro.

In music, the term adagio means played slowly. If

a symphony has an adagio movement, it's a
section that's played at a slow tempo.

Adagio can be an instruction on a piece of sheet

music, directing the musician to play slowly.

Moderato has a nice, steady tempo. It is also

(described as walking pace but not as fast as
allegro.

Allegro is played quickly and in a lively way.

Did everyone understand and know the three

musical terms in tempo?

Can you name those three movements in tempo? Yes, Ma’am.

Those three movements in tempo are

You Know It (Clap Your Hands).

Are you familiar with this song?
Alright, Ma’am!
Good. Let’s sing a song and clap our hands. First,
we’ll sing it at a slow pace, the 2nd time around
will be moderate and the third time will be fast.
Wait for my cue, alright?

Let’s sing together. At the count of three. 1, 2, 3

your assigned seats.
