(Electrical Bonding) TC-5XL-23-150604R9 DTD 7-27-17
REPAIR FACILITY:
Purpose: Inspect and repair electrical bonding of the aircraft to reduce VHF COMM static
Materials Needed:
Test Equipment Nomenclature
Keithley Model 580 Micro-Ohmmeter Low-Resistance Test Set
(or Equivalent)
Megaohmmeter Model 1862-C Insulation Test Set
(or Equivalent)
NOTE: Ref HI-TAK Conductive, Quick Cure Antenna Gasket Installation Procedure located on Comply365.
NJA-EO FLT-51-0002 (All Models) Antenna Gasket Installation
Work Steps:
1. Perform Cessna TASK: 23-90-60-720 - Static Discharging System Functional Check
(a) Fill out the worksheet on page 3 thru 5 of this task card
(b) Correct any conditions that do not meet MM resistance criteria
(c) Replace any deteriorated or damaged static wicks
2. Check the other areas of the airplane listed in the worksheet for proper electrical
bonding using AMM 20-21-02
NOTE: Ensure all bonding jumpers are installed at the correct attach points. Incorrect
installation will result in a failed resistance check. For example: Several aircraft
have been found with the Inboard Flap Inboard Bellcrank bypassed by the jumper.
The jumper was found attaching structure to structure. (Ref. Figure 01 - Sheet 1)
NOTE: Always use the appropriate maximum allowable limits from AMM 20-12-02 Table 211
The limits listed on the TC worksheet are for reference only
(a) Fill out the worksheet on page 3 thru 5 of this task card
(b) Correct any conditions that do not meet MM resistance criteria
NOTE: The Outboard Bellcrank on the L/H and R/H Inboard Flaps routinely fails the resistance
check. Reference EO C56-27-0003 Flap Bellcrank Bonding Alteration for
instructions to install an additional bonding jumper completing a pathway to ground.
(c) Replace any deteriorated or frayed/damaged bonding jumpers.
(d) Email any incorrect bonding jumper installations findings to grove@netjets.com
3. Scan and email completed Task Card to techservices@netjets.com
- Reference the Tail Number and this Task Card Number in the subject line of the email.
NOTE: Task Card also must be submitted to RTS with the rest of the work order.
