Operational test of the FADEC on the Ground with Engine non Motoring
1. Reason for the Job
Self Explanatory.
This is a static (power on/engine off) test. There will be no actuation of
controls. During the system test, all of the ECU electrical interfaces to the Fuel
Metering Valve (FMV), Variable Stator Vane (VSV) actuators, Variable Bleed
Valve (VBV) actuators, High Pressure Turbine Active Clearance Control
(HPTACC) valve, and Low Pressure Turbine Active Clearance Control
(LPTACC) valve will be tested for current wrap faults.

(1) Do the ADIRS 1 and 2 start procedure Ref. AMM TASK
34-10-00-860-801.
(2) On the panel 285VU:
- Push the ENG FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton
switch. The ON legend of this pushbutton switch
comes on.

NOTE: 2 seconds can be necessary before the ENG

FADEC GND PWR pushbutton switch comes on.

(3) Do the procedure to get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST ATA:

FADEC STATUS indication.
B.Push the line key adjacent to
the ECU1(2) CHAN A indication.
C.Push the line key adjacent to
the SYSTEM TEST indication.
2.Push the line key adjacent to
the START TEST indication.
RESULT
The SYSTEM REPORT/TEST
ENG menu comes in view.
The ECU1(2) CHAN A page
comes in view.
The SYSTEM TEST menu comes
in view.
The TEST IN PROGRESS
indication comes in view. When
the test is finished the FADEC
TEST REPORT comes in view
with the TEST OK indication.

NOTE: If you push the return key the test will abort.
3.Push the line key adjacent to The ECU1(2) CHAN A screen
the RETURN indication. comes in view.
4.Do this procedure again for channel B of the FADEC 1(2), steps
2-5.
5.Continue to press the return indicator to return back to the
SYSTEM REPORT/TEST ENG menu after completion of the FADEC
system test.

panel 285VU. The ON legend must go OFF.
