A. Activity
Motivational Activity:
I’m sorry!
Instruction: Write a short apology letter to someone whom you did silly things. At least
3-5 sentences.

Instruction: A line coming from the story is provided, identify who is the character that
says the line.

B. Analysis

1. What do you feel about the story?

2. If you were Sid, how were you going to deal with Tom’s behaviour?

3. What do you think is the moral lesson of the story?


C. Abstraction
The story “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” is all about an orphan named
Tom Sawyer that lives with his Aunt Polly and half-brother Sid. The story
highlight Tom’s propensity for trouble. First he angers his Aunt Polly by
eating the jam, then being punished for skipping school, then tricking other
children that whitewashing is fun and for tricking the other kids and the
Minister about the cards just to impress the girl in the church and then being
caught.

D. Application

Critique the story “ The Adventure of Tom Sawyer” using literary criticism approach.

E. Assignment
Instruction: Identify the characters in the pictures then arrange the rumbled
letters of their name.
