NARRATIVE REPORT

Date and Time of Report: July 21, 2022 as of 7:15 PM

Narrative: Moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds are being experienced over
portions of Mindanao. With this current weather situations, scattered flooding and rain-induced landslides
are likely, especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards. (source:
Mindanao PRSD).

On July 21, 2022 at about 4:45 PM, Bagumbayan experienced moderate to heavy rain showers and
thunderstorms that caused flash flood to several areas associated with the aforementioned hazards.

The office received call from Barangay Poblacion particularly Purok Campo Sarmiento asking assistance
in possible rescue operation and or immediate evacuation of the families because of the sudden rise of
water level in the stream.

Action Taken: Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and Bureau of Fire
Protection - Bagumbayan with coordination to the Municipal Engineering Office and the Barangay
concerned, conducted immediate assessments and awareness for the possible hazards brought about by
the heavy rain showers.
