OBJECTIVE At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to listen to the song and identify the four seasons in a
year.
At the end of the lesson, some pupils will be able to keep interaction going by talking about their
favourite weather and repeating their friends’ favourite weather.

ACTIVITY 1.Ask pupils what the weather is like today. Review or teach the necessary vocabulary.
2. Ask pupils: What season is it now?; Have you been in a cold country in winter?; Have you seen
snow before?
3.Distribute worksheet. Play the song for the second time and have pupils match the verses that
mention the seasons to the corresponding pictures. (track 52)
4. Draw pupils’ attention to the Grammar Box on Student’s Book, p.35. Ask pupils to tell each other
what their favourite season is.
5. Enrichment: Pupils cut, paste the pictures and write the seasons in their exercise books.
