I. OBJECTIVES Students will achieve 80% of mastery in

identifying and differentiating transitive from
intransitive verbs and be able to construct sentences
with transitive and intransitive verbs
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates the understanding
of: Southeast Asian literature as mirror to a shared
heritage; coping strategies in processing textual
information; strategies in examining features of a
listening and viewing material; structural analysis of
words and propaganda techniques; and grammatical
signals for opinion-making, persuasion, and
emphasis.
B. Performance Standards The learner transfers learning by composing
and delivering a persuasive speech based on an
informative essay featuring use of properly
acknowledged information sources, grammatical
signals for opinion-making, persuasion, and
emphasis, and appropriate prosodic features,
stance, and behavior.

will be completely identify the transitive and
intransitive in the sentences.
H. Making Generalizations Students will summarize the main points about
and abstractions about the transitive and intransitive verbs using a graphic
lesson organizer
I. Evaluating Learning Identify the underlined verbs if it is transitive or
intransitive
J. Additional Activities for The students will be grouped into five, each team
application or remediation or will be given a set of 10 verbs (one game sheet, or
enrichment 10 individual cards) that can be intransitive or
(Assignment) transitive.
Each member of the teams now writes (either on
regular paper or on individual whiteboards) as many
sentences as they can in 30-60 seconds using I as
the subject, using each verb transitively or
intransitively.
