Dear Mark

I believe I have a brilliant opportunity here to promote your brand

in Mosman and to align the Supa IGA with a sporting event that
is gaining strong momentum within the local community.

Queenwood School for Girls has a mission to support the

“Cambodian Schools Project”.

THE EVENT
Since 2007 the School has sent a group of year 10 students to
Cambodia to help teach English and assist the children there.
Two students returned in 2009 so touched by their experience
that they wanted to do something to raise funds and the profile of
the cause.

The School supported these two girls in their efforts to challenge

fellow students and parents as the Cambodians are challenged
every day. Hence the 50k for 50k walk from Palm Beach to
Queenwood was born.

Hours or planning, training and fundraising by teachers and

students go into running an event on this scale by students,
parents and friends of the school. The walk is challenging to say
the least and takes between 11-14 hours.

Other parents help out the 200 or so walkers by manning food

and water stations along the route and generally providing
support. Held on Friday October 11, it is not a race but a
challenge to achieve a goal for an individual or as a team.

THE PROPOSAL
Fellow local businesses Bakers Delight, Hudsons and Chargrill
Charlies are sponsoring food and we would love you to join as a
major sponsor at the finish line – sponsoring the water and a few
ancillary supplies like butter and glad wrap. In having these items
sponsored we are hoping we will reach our target of $50k (last
year we managed $44k and we really hope 2013 will be the year
we make it).

We would be so grateful for whatever you could contribute but

were thinking mainly of 750 x 350ml water bottles for
approximately 250 persons. Other items you could help with are:
2 x easy spread butter
1 x tomato sauce
1 x bbq sauce
3 large foil trays
2 x 45m glad wrap
1 medium sized jar glad wrap
3 packets of hand wipes
3 x paper towel rolls
500 paper napkins
1 pack plastic gloves for food prep
70 ham slices (the packet kind that separate easily)
70 cheese slices
10 x rubbish bags

In return for your generosity we will endeavor to maximise every

opportunity to promote the SupaIGA brand not limited to but
including the following:

 We would display your banner or a sign at the finish line

 Give your logo prominence on our website
http://www.queenwood.nsw.edu.au/cambodia50kwalk/
 Place your promotional insert into our registration bags
which will be handed out at the Info night on August 14th.
 You are also very welcome to invite your staff/friends to
participate in the challenge on the day and they could wear
t-shirts with your logo.
 Naturally you will also be thanked in our school newsletter
and we will prepare a laminated certificate for you to hang
in the shop.
