The erection of pile foundations using the Silent Jack Piling System will ensure that the work is free
from noise, vibration and pollution. The advantage of driving using the Silent Jack Piling System
can also provide an overview of the carrying capacity of the driven pile because at the time of
driving at any time during driving the pressing force applied by the machine to the pile can be
recorded.
The selection of the machine for piling with the Silent Jack Piling System must pay attention to the
design load that the pile will carry, so that the machine capacity and total counterweight can be
effective and efficient for the project.
Piling with a silent pile system begins with the preparation of the entrance to the site and
preparation of the piling area by the task giver or owner. The piling area is flat sand fill, dense and
capable of receiving the load of the injection equipment used at that location.
After the land is ready to be driven, the erection process is carried out, the stages are as follows:
1. Setting out the stakes using a Total Station (Topcon) (marking the stakes using a large nail with
a string at the end of the nail head)
2. The injection machine is then placed in a position more or less the center pile clamp is
perpendicular to the pile position.
3. Next, lift the lower part of the pile into the pile clamp using a service crane. After the pile is
installed on the injection machine clamp, the pile starts to be pressed and goes into the ground
to the design depth or design load (whichever is reached first). Placement of slings on piles is
1/3 L Pile.
5. Ruyung or dolly is inserted into the pile clamp after the lower pile (for single pile) is jack-in up
to the maximum limit of the pile clamp. Ruyung is inserted into the pile clamp to suppress the
lower pile to the design depth with the hope that the minimum ultimate bearing capacity
according to the plan can be fulfilled
6. From the manometer in the engine cabin, the ultimate bearing capacity is obtained which is
read in MPa units (readings are made every one meter of pole length) then converted using
the table into tons. If the depth has not reached the design depth but the ultimate bearing
capacity has been reached, then the jack-in work is not continued.
7. For pile work with joints (lower + upper). After the lower pile is jack-in, up to the maximum
limit of the clamp pile, the upper pile is inserted into the clamp pile at a position of
approximately 0.5m-1m from the ground surface.
8. The upper pile is reset manually with strings (rope + weights) from both sides before
welding.
9. Then do the welding at the junction of the lower end plate with the upper pile. After welding
is complete, the upper pile is jacked up to the maximum limit of the clamp pile and then
proceed with inserting the ruyung into the clamp pile. Previously, between the top head of the
upper pile and the ruyung, a wooden hood was given as a protector.
10. Ruyung is jacked in to the depth of the plan in the hope that the ultimate carrying capacity
can be fulfilled. If the pile depth has not reached the design depth but the ultimate bearing
capacity has been reached, then the jack-in work is not continued. Likewise, if the design
depth has been reached but the ultimate bearing capacity is not met, then the jack-in work
will be stopped.
11. The whole process has been completed, the injection machine and service crane then move
to another piling point.
The process of Joint Welding or welding of pile joints is carried out if the pile consists of two or
more parts. The specifications for the tools and materials used during the joint welding process
are:
1. A tool that can be used with an AC power source, a voltage capacity of 220 volts or 380 volts
and a current strength of 300 amperes.
2. Using RD 460 class welding wire with a diameter of 5 mm.
3. The connecting plate must be free of rust and clean of dirt or soil.
4. The segments on the connecting plate must be aligned with the pile axis.
IV. MONITORING

before Work done .

management to ensure every work finished well.
B. Quality Control

equipment
2. Operate ITP control and ensure he can become finished
3. Operate ITP renew to repair Work quality
4. Prepare plan, procedure, and document related to that work
5. Every stepped should follow That method statement including finish.
6. Operate quality control on every Work as per ITP and ensure quality notes well
saved
