INTRODUCTION

According to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) On-the-job training

(OJT) programs are course requirements providing an opportunity to apply the theories, principles

and ideas learned in the academe under supervision. These training programs expose the students

to work realities which will ideally hone their skills and prepare them once they get out of the

university or college. Since we are experiencing Covid19, face to face on the job training is not

allowed so we the students are experiencing the Online OJT now. In this portfolio I will share my

experiences and accomplished activities during the 47 days of attending the online practicum in

Rajah Travel Academy.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

This Virtual Practicum would not have been possible without the help of some valued
people. I would like to extend utmost gratitude to the following:

Foremost, I would like to offer this endeavor to our GOD Almighty for the wisdom he
bestowed upon me, the strength, peace of mind and good health, especially during this pandemic,
to finish this Practicum.

To our Dean, Prof. Carl Francis T. Castro, for his continuous support, guidance, and
patience during my practicum

I would also like to give my appreciation to Ms. Charlene Michelle B. Orbe for giving me
encouragement and support during my practicum.

I also give thanks to my family for their unconditional understanding and for sharing their
wisdom that inspires me to push beyond my limits and as well as giving their moral support.

And, to my beloved and supportive friends, Colline Alinas, Masayuki Suzuki, Airforeheads
Skwad and LCCM OJT Squad who spent their time and consumed a lot of effort to help me and
to make me calm during my ranting moments and to have fun during practicum.

Lastly, to my mentors in Rajah Travel Academy for giving me courage, believing in me

and appreciating my efforts.

Mahal ko Kayo

REFLECTION

What I learned in my online practicum program at Rajah Travel Academy was not to be afraid to

present your work in the sessions. My mentors always encourage me to share my work because there

is no right or wrong. In the first 3 weeks of attending the Online Practicum Program of Rajah, I am

always afraid to be called out to recite or to share something in the sessions because I feel my work is

wrong. Still, in some sessions, the mentors call me to present my work; every one of us needed to

present our work that we submitted to our mentor; some of the trainees like me pass the given task,

and some trainees did not submit it. Then I noticed in the 2nd month of attending the Practicum, I am

clicking the virtual raised hand button to recite, and I voluntarily want to present my work because I

want to know the comments and mistakes about my work for me to correct. To be honest, I did not

expect that I would enjoy this virtual practicum program because we are not facing them with the other

trainees and mentors and how to handle the actual operations or to be in the working environment like

to experience how to book online, face some customers who are difficult to handle or some unexpected

situations happened thinking “what should I do?” but my mentors told us what to do by giving some

situational analysis a lot of situational analysis with a different level of scenarios some mentors are

showing their screen to us on how to book in Amadeus and everyone of us was called out to say the

steps on how to book the flight and the proper codes which are really difficult because some codes are

confusing. I must say I have learned a lot and enjoyed the virtual practicum program though what I

didn’t like was giving us a pile of works, especially when the weekend was approaching or some

holidays are coming. Still, I am happy to say that I passed my assignments on time and I am very

thankful that my sleepless nights and efforts are paid off with good grades and positive feedback of

my performance from Rajah Travel Academy.
