contest, gets a scholarship, birthdays, anniversaries, and so on.

Some examples of expressions used to describe the expression "congratulations":

 Congratulation on being elected as a model student
 Congratulation on being elected as the best graduate
 Congratulation on your graduation
 Well done
 You did it

 Happy Eid Al-Fitr
 happy birthday

Hope/Wish

Hope / wish is an expression or speech of someone who is used to express a prayer, hope
or desire to be better, and the aspirations or wishes or hopes will come true. The wishes or hopes
that are expressed can be based on conditions that occur at the moment or based on reality or
based on a fantasy.

For example, wishing to have a house as luxurious as a palace. To express hope, you can
use the verb hope or wish. Of the two verbs, there is no significant difference. The difference
between the two lies only in the pattern of use and the desire is intended for oneself or others.
Here's the pattern of using wish / hope.

Wish

There are two patterns of using the word wish namely

The first pattern is Wish + noun

Example of sentences: I wish you luck on your audition

The expression above can be used to express hope for the success of others.

The second pattern is Wish + to infinitive (Verb 1) / be

Example of sentences: Rena wishes to get the first rank

The example above can be used to express expectations in a formal situation.

Hope

There are two patterns of using the word hope, namely:

The first pattern is Hope + to infinitive/be

Example of sentences: I hope to become a successful entrepreneur

Based on the example above, the use of hope is followed by the infinitive to refer to wishes that
occur to oneself.
The second pattern is Hope (that)

Example sentences: I hope that My best friend is always happy

Based on the example above, the sentence pattern expresses a wish or hope that is addressed to
other people. In this pattern, the word "that" can be used in a sentence or it can also be omitted,
like I hope My best friend is always happy.

Some examples of expressions used to describe the expression “hope/wish”:

 I hope everything is/will be alright

 Good luck with your tests
 have a nice day
