un in im il
2. COMPARATIVO Y SUPERLATIVO
4
María Jesús Duque Sánchez ·Prueba acceso grado superior (inglés) Y Bachillerato 2015/16
1 Adjetivos cortos de una silaba. El comparativo se forma Small (pequeño) smaller than the smallest
Para el comparativo Dangerous more dangerous than the most dangerous
será “more + adj + than” y para el superlativo “the most +
adj” (peligroso)
3 Adjetivos monosílabos que terminen en consonante, Big bigger than the biggest
vocal, consonante. Se duplica la última consonante y se
añade “er” o “est” (grande)
4 Adjetivos que terminan en “y.” La “y” pasa a “i” y se pretty prettier than the prettiest
(bonito/a)
5 Adjetivos irregulares. No siguen ningún patrón por lo que good (bueno) better than the best
se tienen que estudiar de memoria. Afortunadamente sólo
hay tres. bad (malo) worse than the worst

horarios.
Ejemplo: The train leaves at 5.00pm
2. PRESENTE CONTINUO
Ejemplo: We are visiting our grandparents this evening.
3. FUTURO CON WILL
- Ejemplos:
- In 2030, people won’t use petrol cars; En el año 2030, la gente no usará coches de gasolina
- A: I don’t understand this activity B: I will help you; A: No entiendo este ejercicio B: Yo te ayudaré
4. FUTURO CON “BE GOING TO TO”
Después del verbo to be, going to que siempre irá seguido de
infinitivo.
- Uso: El futuro con “to be going to” se usa para (1) expresar planes futuros y (2) acciones futuras de las que se
tiene una evidencia.
- Ejemplo:
- Next year, I am going to study in Granada; El año que viene voy a estudiar en Granada
- Look at that grey cloud!! It is going to rain; Mira esa nube gris!! Va a llover.
5. FUTURO CONTINUO.
Ejemplo: By this time next year, I will be
Ejemplo:
By this time next year, I will have passed the exam; En esta fecha el año que viene, yo habré aprobado el
examen.
CHANGE THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES INTO THE NEGATIVE AND
INTERROGATIVE OR THE OTHER WAY ROUND
1. He doesn't like playing video games.
2. Did the burglar steal anything valuable?
3. He does not like his job.
4. Is Grandma's situation serious?
5. He does not enjoy fishing.
6. Mary moved into a new flat.
7. Dad's car broke down yesterday.
8. I don't think I have left it in my locker.
9. John has fallen ill.
10. He smokes.
11. The thief was hiding behind a tree.
12. He was telling the truth.
13. They made her queen.
14. The roof was blown off in the storm.
15. You look happy.
16. The milk turned sour.
17. The peon rang the bell.
18. She has a lovely voice.
19. The rumor seems true.
20. We waited at the station.
21. She called me a fool.
22. They had finished their work.
23. John broke another glass today.
4. MAKE QUESTIONS FOR THE UNDERLINED WORDS
subrayas. Por ejemplo dada la frase : “I am from Spain” con “Spain” como información sobre la que
se tiene que preguntar, la pregunta sería :”Where are you from?”.
usar será “do”, “does” o “did”. Si uso “does” o “did” tengo que acordarme de
Ejempo: - She plays tennis every day -> How often does she play tennis
5. EL RESULTADO SERÍA:
4. Karl doesn’t know what to do with the puppies. His dog had ten puppies.
10. My sister is a flight attendant. She travels all over the world.
14. Sammy has already finished school. He is a year older than I am.
15. Meet me at the corner. The pizza shop and the bank are there.
16. Jane gave me the phone number of a woman. The woman makes jewellery.
17. You should visit the botanical garden. Fifty varieties of roses are grown there.
18. Russell Crowe was in the film “Gladiator”. He also starred in “A Beautiful Mind.”
22. I usually like Madonna’s music. She has released a new CD.
23. Our teacher will mark our tests next week. She’ll have more time then.
24. In northern Canada it is extremely cold all winter. There is a hotel there made of ice.
25. It will take many years for new trees to grow there. The old trees are cut down in that place.
6. VOZ PASIVA
a. Tener el verbo TO BE
PRONOMBRES SUJETO COMPLEMENTOS (CD, CI, C. Agente)
I Me
You You
he Him
She Her
It It
we Us
You You
They them
3. Lo siguiente es cambiar el verbo. PRESTA MUCHA ATENCIÓN
Por un lado tengo que poner el verbo TO BE y por otro lado tengo que poner el
PARTICIPIO PASADO del verbo:
To Participio pasado
be
- EL verbo TO BE se tiene que poner el tiempo verbal del
verbo que me da el ejercicio. Si por ejemplo la oración
fuese “I’m cleaning my car” sería “my car is being
cleaned” por muy raro que suene “is being”
She has given me two presents – I have been given two presents
She has been giving me two presents – I have been being given two presents
Siempre que en las oraciones tenga HAS HAVE o HAD, tengo que
poner BEEN.
concordancia. (mirar el ejemplo)
Ejemplos:
She will give me two presents – I will be given two presents by her
¿QUÉ PASA CUANDO LA ORACIÓN ES UNA PREGUNTA? (PASOS)
7. CONDICIONALES
,
cuadro:
(CONDICIÓN) (RESULTADO)
Si yo
I had come to class,
I wouldn’t have failed the exam hubiese ido
a clase no
3. Pasado PAST PERFECT habria
WOULD + HAVE + PAST PART.
parte. ES MUY IMPORTANTE NO MEZCLAR!!
Como puedo observar en el tipo 2 no pongo “If I was” sino “If I were” esto es así porque es un
resto del subjuntivo en inglés.
If she hadn’t forgotten her mp3, she would have listened to music
She forgot her mp3 and she didn’t listen to music: Ella olvidó su mp3 y no escuchó música
If she hadn’t forgotten her mp3, she would have listened to music: Si ella no hubiese olvidado su mp3, ella habría
1. If you come with me, I ____________ (do) the shopping with you.
2. Walter _________ (help) his mother in the garden if she reads him a story this evening.

21. She isn’t passing her exams because she isn’t studying hard enough.
25. I didn’t send them a postcard because I didn’t know their new address.
8. MODAL VERBS
posibilidad
Essential or necessary
Must Cabin crew must stay calm during an emergency
++
Obli
+ You have to check in two hours before the departure time.
gati
on Have
Imposed or objective - You don’t have to check in two hours before departure on domestic flights

e. (Sue drives everywhere. She never walks).
f. (Bill’s room isn’t very interesting).
CONTINUO
Normalmente se introduce por “…said that…” y “….told me that…”.
3. SUGGESTIONS (Sugerencias)
5. QUESTIONS.
(aux+suj+verb+comp) (suj+verbo+comp)
(aux+suj+verb) (suj+verbo)
