My Genetically Modified Fruit

MUSA PAPAYA
~a combination of papaya and banana.
 Papaya Scientific Name: Carica Papaya
 Banana Scientific Name: Musa (Musa Acuminata, Musa Balbisiana, Musa
Paradisiaca)
~a genetically modified fruit that contains fiber, magnesium, vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin E,
and vitamin K.
 The nutritious value of this genetically modified fruit came from both the papaya and
banana.

Reasons For Modification

~Great Combination
 The sweet and vanilla-like flavor of banana complements the soft, juicy and sweet
flavor of papaya. It does not contradict one another.
 Its pairing is not harmful to one’s health. Papaya should not be combined with high
scidic fruits. But since bananas are low-acid fruits, they are not harmful to the body.
Papaya is a soft fruit, which may lead to improper functioning of the digestive system,
when combined with high acidic fruit like lemon.
~Almost the Same Nutritious Value
 Bananas and papayas both contain nutrients like vitamins C, A, E, calcium,
magnesium, and potassium. They include varying amounts of vitamin B, fiber,
protein, water content, and other nutrients.
~Lots of Benefits
 It has some benefits in common due to similarities in nutritional content.
 Potassium content regulates blood pressure and lowers the risk of heart disease.
 Helps with digestion due to the presence of calcium, magnesium, vitamin B, and
vitamin D.
 Because of the vitamins C, D, and E, the skin is hydrated and the hair is strengthened.
~Faster Harvesting Period
 Within 4 to 6 months, this GM fruit will be ready for harvest.
 The fact that papayas take 9 to 14 months to ripen before harvest is one of the main
reasons I chose to combine them with bananas. It is very nutritional and delicious, but
it is inconvenient that papayas take so long to ripen. Therefore, it can ripen in 4 to 6
months when combined with a banana.
~Easier to Eat
 This GM fruit can be eaten by peeling its skin.
 Papayas require cutting, seed removal, and flesh scooping before consumption.
Personally, papaya is my favorite fruit, and I always get messy when I eat it, so I
thought it would be nice if it could be eaten in a neat and easier way, similar to how
we eat bananas.
