The diagram below shows the manufacturing process for making sugar from sugar cane.

The given diagram illustrates how sugar is manufactured from sugar cane. Even at a glance, it
is obvious that there are seven main stages involved, which are growing, harvesting, crushing,
purifying, evaporating, centrifuging and culminating with drying and cooling.

To be specific, the process starts with the cultivation of the sugar canes for a year to eighteen
months, which are to be harvested either manually or with machines. The harvested sugar
canes are crushed in a crusher machine to transform them into liquid form which is juice. In the
subsequent stage, the resulting juice is purified by filtering with limestone.

After going through the purifying step, the filtered juice is evaporated by the mean of fire to
become thicker, turning into syrup. When there is syrup in the evaporator, it is then centrifuged
to remove sugar crystals from the syrup. Finally, the separated crystals are to be dried and
cooled in a special container, producing sugar.
