The picture illustrates the process of how sugar cane is used in manufacturing of sugar.

There are overall 7 stages in the production of sugar where it begins with the growing of sugar canes
and ends by leaving the sugar for drying and cooling.

First of all, sugar canes are grown for 12 to 18 months before getting harvested by hand or using
sugarcane harvesters. Once the leaves from the top of sugar canes are removed, the harvested sugar
canes are placed inside the crushing machine in order to extract the juice. Following this, the fourth
stage consists of purification of the extracted juice by passing through the limestone filter.

After that, the purified juice is heated inside the evaporator to become syrupy. The next step is about
the separation process in which the syrup is put in the centrifuge to sort out the sugar crystals. At last,
the sugar crystals are finally dried and cooled.
