3.1 The Definite Integral as a Limit to Riemann Sums
Condition for Existence of the Definite Integral :
Theorem (3.1) :
If a function f is continuous on a ,b  , or if f is bounded on
a ,b  and discontinuous at finite number of points (jump or
removable discontinuities) ; i.e. it is piece-wise continuous on
a ,b  , then f is integrable on a ,b  .
