Learning Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to
i. Say where a person comes from
ii. listen and understand simple classroom instructions
Success criteria : Pupils can say and describe at least 2 persons.
Pupils can listen and understand at least 2 classroom instructions.
Activities :
Pre-lesson
1. Pupils look at the world map and talk about it.
What countries have you been?
What is your favourite country?
Lesson delivery
2. Teacher shows flash cards of different countries.
3. Pupils choose and draw a country flag of their choice. It could be one from the textbook
or of a country whose flag they know.
4. Play the song from Activity 1 (CD 1 - Track 3).
5. Pupils sing along.
6. Pupils use their flags to do a speaking role-play Activity 2. A describe a person while B
answers who that person is. (PS: 2.1.5)
Post-lesson
1. Pupils summarise the lesson by listing the countries.
