PRE-LESSON (10 MINUTES):
1. Teacher greets students.
2. Teacher shows students some flashcards of national flags and their
country names (Attachment 1).
3. Teacher introduces the name of the country each flag represents.
4. Teacher asks students to memorise the flags and repeat after the names of
the countries.

Collaborative
ACTIVITY 1 (15 MINUTES) Communication
1. Teacher forms 6 groups of five students (differentiation by needs). Critical thinking
2. Teacher pastes some pictures of national flags on the whiteboard
(Attachment 2).
3. Teacher introduces activity ‘Match the Flags’.
4. Teacher explains in depth about the task
- “Each group needs to discuss and match the name of the countries
with their original flags, try to remember what you have seen and
repeat after me just now.“

5. Teacher distributes some papers with a few countries' names to each


group (Attachment 3).
6. Each group discusses and pastes their answer on the whiteboard.
7. Teacher checks and discusses the answer with the class.
ACTIVITY 2 (35 MINUTES)
8. Teacher introduces activity ‘Match the Names’.
9. Teacher explains in depth about the activity
- “Everyone needs to pay attention and listen closely to a song titled
‘Friends from around the world’ that I will play later on, read the
worksheet first and try to answer the questions based on the song
that you will hear later.“

10. Teacher distributes the worksheet to students (Attachment 4)

(Attachment 5).
12. Teacher plays a song called `Friends from around the world’ twice
(Attachment 6).
13. Teacher asks students to sing along the song by referring to the lyrics in
the textbook.
14. Teacher asks students to complete their worksheets.
15. Teacher asks students to exchange their worksheets with people besides
them.
16. Teacher discusses the correct answer and asks everyone to mark the
worksheets.
